Liandu District Carried Out a Series of Events Themed Law Publicity Visiting the Cultural Hall

        In order to further promote law publicity and education in rural areas, since this July, Liandu District Justice Bureau carefully made and comprehensively arranged a work plan. It seized the opportunity of ‘Sunday Event’ in rural cultural halls, and comprehensively carried out a series of events in multiple forms themed law publicity visiting the cultural hall, promoting the deep fusion of legal elements and the life of villagers.
  The other day, the events, law publicity visiting the cultural hall carried out by District Justice Bureau, visited Jinzhu village and Shangchen village in Yaxi township. On the site, the cultural hall is very crowded and lively. Staff sent out law publicity pamphlets, calendars, kitchen wares and disposable bags with printed contents of ‘National Constitution’, ‘General Rules of Civil Law’, ‘Anti- Family-violence Law’, etc., which were warmly welcomed by the mass. Meanwhile, they organized legal workers to set up consultation desk to provide legal consultation services to the people, to answer their questions and solve their problems.
  In addition, this event invited legal consultants to the rural areas to hold lectures about law. These lectures focused on the hotspot issues that most concerned by the villagers such as the betrothal gift, property division, child rising-up, and domestic violence. By using the plain language and combining with the real cases, the relevant terms in the new Marriage Law had been explained easily understandable. This helped the villagers being able to take legal actions to protect their legitimate rights and interests. This event had handed out 230 leaflets in total and answered more than 10 villagers’ questions.
Until now, the Liandu District Bureau of Justice has held more than 10 ‘Taking Law Lectures into Culture Hall’ in villages and neighborhoods, and all events are greatly recognized and welcomed by residents and villagers. The Liandu District Bureau of Justice plans to take measures to deepen the law campaign and education in villages as next step, and using this to break the ‘last one kilometer’ in law service in order to better meet the growing legal demands of the public.
