On April 23rd, the first Yunhe County Yuntai Campus Cultural Festival was held at the County Experimental Primary School. Ye Bojun, the Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee, and Lei Shaoli, the deputy magistrate, attended the opening ceremony of the event.
The theme of this event is "Harmony Between Taiwan and Mainland, Gather Together in Yunhe", which is jointly organized by the County Office of Taiwan Affairs, the County Education Bureau, the Communist Youth League Committee and the County Party Committee. It is understood that the Taiwan Education Delegation, which participated in the event, came from the Legal Primary School in Nantou County, Taiwan. It paired with the Yunhe County Experimental Primary School. The two sides had already carried out several visits and exchanges, but it is the first time in Lishui to have the interaction between students from both sides.
In this campus cultural festival, the two schools regard enhancing friendship, exchanging cultures, exploring jointly and improving the level of wisdom education and the instruction as the aim, so as to enhance the friendship between Mainland and Taiwan through artistic communication and exchanging educational methods and instructions.
It is reported that the members of the Taiwan Education Delegation are composed of representatives of teachers, students and parents from the legal primary school. At the opening ceremony, they performed the traditional Taiwan songs and dances, such as The Bunong Songs, Go home, We are a Family and the atmosphere was high. Especially in the show We Are a Family, teachers and students from across the straits sang songs and danced hand in hand and shoulder by shoulder, which fully reflected the friendship between both sides.
After the opening ceremony, the county experimental primary school and students from Taiwan sat together and had a class on Chinese classicals together. Subsequently, the delegation also visited the Ruoxi School History Square, Curriculum Culture Corridor, Science and Technology Corridor, etc., and learnt about the school philosophy and cultural connotation.
During recent years, with the deepened development of cross-Straits exchanges, the communication between teachers and students and between schools across the Straits have become more and more frequent. Zhou Yonghan, principal of Nantou Law Primary School in Taiwan, said the Yunhe-Taiwan Campus Cultural Festival would help to enhance mutual understanding, deepen the friendship between each other, further exchange the educational and teaching results, and jointly improve education and teaching standards across the Straits.
On 24th, the delegation would also visit Yunhe Bench Terrace National Wetland Park and Xiaoshun village in Shitang township on Sunday, to interact with local villagers and experience the unique local customs and cultures of Yunhe. (Yunhe County Government Office)
