On May 18th, the Lishui Municipal Development and Reform Committee (Food Bureau) and the Lishui Municipal Science and Technology Bureau jointly organized the 2018 " Food Science and Technology Week" on the theme of "Scientific and Technological Innovation, the Prosperity of the Nation and the Wellbeing of the People" in Longquan People's Square.
On the same day, the square was full of people and the citizens were in high spirits, and the atmosphere at the scene was very active. The staff of the Lishui Development and Reform Commission (Food Bureau) have explained the knowledge patiently and meticulously, such as the food policy, food safety laws and regulations, treasuring food, healthy diet, food safety and so on. They also presented the new achievements in the development of food science and technology, and answered questions about the technical problems that the growers encountered in the process of planting, the grain storage device, the grain storage technology, food quality and safety and other issues. A total of more than 200 volumes of related science popularization materials were issued.
Through this publicity event, we have further enriched the public's knowledge on food science, and raised the citizen’s awareness of food safety, and achieved good practical effect (Municipal Development and Reform Committee).
