Qingyuan Opened the Cultural Block ‘The Love in Kengli Village: Culture & Creativity Society’

  On August 6th, Qingyuan County opened the cultural block ‘The Love in Kengli Village: Culture & Creativity Society’ in Kengli village on Pingdu street. 

  At the opening ceremony, Wu Jiyun, member of the Qingyuan County Party Standing Committee and Minister of Publicity, announced the opening of the block park, and Hu Xianping, Vice County head attended the ceremony. 

  It is learnt that this cultural block is cultural and creative complex of fine arts, calligraphy, pottery, root carving, and digital creativity, etc., including the functional industries such as culture and creativity, art communications, cultural tourism and leisure and entertainment. The cultural and creativity block will realize the integration of the culture, industry, tourism development in the block.   

  At present, the Cultural Block has successfully introduced five Culture & Creativity Enterprises and eight Culture & Creativity Studios, and has built a complex of public affairs lecture hall and B&B. At the same time, the construction of the tourist reception center, beach amusement park and traditional techniques are being promoted in an orderly way. The cultural agglomeration effect has appeared initially, and has become a highlight of the cultural industry development in Qingyuan County. 

  In recent years, Qingyuan County has vigorously implemented the cultural development strategy, and created an optimal environment for the development of cultural and creative industries through comprehensive methods of cultural industry special fund support, preferential investment policies, and overall funding of the department, attracting a large number of innovative industrial elites and entrepreneurs coming to Qingyuan to invest the industry.It invited artists to settle in Qingyuan to carry out painting and calligraphy art creation, and held cultural and art salons, which injected a strong impetus into the cultural industry development of Qingyuan County. 

  Next, Qingyuan County will continue to integrate resources and projects from various departments, and fully work on rural construction, to refine cultural imprints, expand cultural creation space, and constantly enhance the connotation of the district, and strive to create a special street with cultural heritage, cultural and economic gathering, and cultural tourism, so as to drive the industry to thrive and boost rural revitalization. 

  At the ceremony, Pingdu Street and Kengli Village also signed contracts with the newly-entered enterprises and special culture-pairing village, namely Yongkangtangli Village, and issued honorary villagers certificates for the enterprises and studios in the park. (Qingyuan County Government Office)
