Recently, Yunhe Terrace National Wetland Park pilot construction work passed the provincial inspection through the evaluation and assessment of the Provincial Forestry Bureau expert group.
Yunhe Terrace National Wetland Park is located in Chongtou Town. The park is divided into five functional areas: Wetland Conservation Area, Restoration and Reconstruction Area, Education and Exhibition Area, Rational Utilization Area and Management Service Area. The park is composed of subalpine swampy meadow wetland, river wetland, woodland and villages, with terraced paddy field wetland as its core. It constitutes a harmonious, symbiotic, unique and stable ecosystem where there are ‘swamp-forest-terraced field-village-river’. It is a typical life community of mountains, waters, forests, fields and dwellings.
Since Yunhe Terrace was approved as a pilot unit of National Wetland Park by the former State Forestry Administration on December 31, 2014, according to the requirements of relevant documents, the pilot work of the National Wetland Park was conscientiously organized and carried out. In the past 5 years, Yunhe County has made great efforts in the basic concept of "comprehensive protection, scientific restoration, rational utilization and sustainable development". Based on their own advantages and characteristics, the construction, protection and management of parks have been promoted steadily and orderly, and a wetland park has been established, which combines wetland protection, wetland tourism and the popularization of wetland science and education.
At present, the construction site of Yunhe Terraced Wetland Popular Science Education Center is in good order, and the construction team takes advantage of the fine weather to step up construction. County Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, the relevant person in charge, next the ecological science corridor, and the propaganda window will be built. To form a popular science and technology position, through the combination of point, line and surface, which combines science and education, exhibition and publicity, visitors and villagers, especially the youth, and to let people understand the wetland park and to popularize the knowledge of the wetland, and improve the consciousness of the public on the protection of the wetland.
